Board Advisory

Sheri L. Scott, Principal at Catalyst Risk LLC, provides board service and advisory expertise to insurance organizations. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) through the CAS Institute.

 

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Sheri has served as a Board Member, Appointed Actuary, and trusted Board Advisor, supporting executive teams across insurers, reinsurers, captives, consulting firms, and other insurance stakeholders. She brings invaluable strategic guidance grounded in a deep understanding of governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

 

Sheri's experience spans expert witness work, including written and oral testimony, as well as developing products and advanced methods to identify, measure, manage, price, and transfer risk. She supports all property and casualty lines of business, including emerging risks that benefit from robust governance, oversight, and underwriting.

 

Her background developing capital requirements, risk management frameworks, and governance structures for start-up MGAs and insurance companies, provides critical insight that enhances her board service and advisory support.
